Nina Strongylou, LMFT, RDT/BCT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Registered Drama Therapist and a Certified Trainer in Drama Therapy, who works with individuals, couples and groups. She is a founding member, trainer and supervisor at the Living Arts Counseling Center (Oakland, California). She is also the psychotherapist on staff at the adult psychiatric unit of Saint Francis Memorial Hospital (San Francisco, California).

In her private practice, Nina works with people who are questioning the quality of their lives or have difficulty keeping up with life's demands. A native of Cyprus, she specializes in working with people who are dealing with cultural and racial issues. She believes that personal therapy makes a difference; it can create new possibilities for personal growth, professional development and change.

Nina served on the boards of the National Association for Drama Therapy (NADT) and the Women's Therapy Center (El Cerrito, California). She is a former vice president of NADT, was the editor of its national newsletter, Dramascope, and chaired NADT's 1998 national conference. Currently, she is on the review committee that approves and certifies drama therapy trainers. She is a published author, and has presented her work and conducted trainings internationally.

Nina is also the founder of MYSTERIA, a company that offers customized ceremonies to honor special events in people's lives. She designs weddings and baptisms, birthdays and coming of age celebrations, retirement and end-of-era ceremonies, healing and renewal rituals, and other rites of passage. As an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church, she is legally authorized to perform marriages.
