Brethren,
It is with great honor that write today as the new Master of Raleigh lodge # 500. Since joining the lodge I have had the tremendous pleasure of watching a wonderful transformation. Our increasing membership and recognition by the Grand lodge is quite reflective of the hard work that the Masters before me should be proud of. I look forward to a full run of great things again this year. We have, as a lodge, learned a good deal about our statewide fundraiser, charities, tickets, obligations, and so on. While our calendar this year may not seem as aggressive as years past, the expectation is that we will execute to those tasks at a higher level.
Communication will remain a huge part of what makes Raleigh lodge # 500 extraordinarily successful. Our webpage is second to NONE. Quarterly newsletters are informational and attractive and our coaching is phenomenal. Through this communication our lodge grows in Masonic knowledge. I know it is easy to click your way to the web or walk to the mailbox, thus websites and newsletters. However, I believe that only though regular lodge attendance can the true wisdom and knowledge of masonry be known in its rich variety. This is going to be another year of quantum growth and refinement for our lodge, and I challenge all to attend regularly and be a part of the good work that our lodge is doing.
Fraternally,
John C. Dempsey, Master
