A Special 3rd Degree
On January 14, 2009, an Emergent Communication of William G. Hill Lodge No. 218 was held with Raleigh Lodge No. 500. James Hatfield (218), Bill Klouse (500), Kevin Lytle (500), Kelly MacDowell (500), and Wally Robertson (500) were raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason.
We also had some special visitors this evening as we had our first Prince Hall Members visit since the Recognition Admendment was passed. Five Brothers from Widow’s Son Lodge No. 4, Most Woshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge: Raleigh, NC, visited us for this Master Mason Degree.
They assisted in the Degree, and James Hatfield (218) was raised by a Brother from Widow’s Son Lodge. This may have been the first time this has happened in North Carolina.
