   From the Secretary   

Brethren:

           Brother Gene Jordan, our secretary for 22 years, resigned at the end of September due to health reasons and I have been appointed to fill that office until our elections in December. We all owe Brother Jordan our deepest thanks and appreciation for all his years of devoted service to Raleigh 500. In recognition of this service, the brethren of Raleigh 500, at our November stated, voted to honor Bro. Gene with a Life Membership.

           Brother Gene worked from home, but we have now opened up a new Raleigh 500 office at the Temple. It is in the enclosed porch area of the Daniels house right off the large library and we thank the members of William G. Hill Lodge # 218 and the Temple Board who offered to share this delightful space with us. Dues notices for 2007 have gone out and dues cards will be mailed as soon as I receive your next years dues.

           Thank you for this opportunity to serve as your secretary pro tem.
