Route: This route leaves Days Inn going into a small cemetery, past a golf course, and a new housing area on the way to Mt. Talbert Nature Park, a new 144 acre public natural area on top of the largest undeveloped lava butte in Clackamas County. The area is protected for migrating songbirds and other wildlife. The walk is primarily on city sidewalks around Mt. Talbert. A challenging option to go to the top of Mt. Talbert is available and rated 3+. Dogs not allowed on the option but are allowed on rest of the walk.

Route: The route starts in Happy Valley Park, a short distance from the Days Inn. (Remote Start) The walk goes through a wetlands area, past a vineyard, up to the top of a hill overlooking Happy Valley with magnificent views. The walk then goes into a new housing area.

 DIRECTIONS TO DAYS INN:

I-205 Northbound or Southbound to Exit 14 (Sunnyside Rd). East on SE Sunnyside Road, left on SE Stevens Road a short distance and left into the Days Inn property. The Days Inn is directly East of I-205 and is clearly visible from Sunnyside Rd. Park in lot. Ask for Walk File Box.
