Route: This walk is on both natural and bike trails in Tryon Creek State Park, on asphalt roads which wind through the lovely Riverdale residential area, and on gravel trails through one of the Portland area’s best kept secrets: Elk Rock Garden at the Bishop’s Close. A 5K route rated 1+ is available and is entirely in the State Park
 

DIRECTIONS TO TRYON CREEK STATE PARK:

I-5 Southbound to Exit 297 (Terwilliger). Right onto SW Barbur Blvd., then Right again onto SW Terwilliger Blvd. for 2.5 miles, following signs to Tryon Creek State Park.  Park entrance will be on the right 0.75 mile beyond the round-about. 

I-5 Northbound to Exit 297 (Terwilliger). Turn right onto SW Terwilliger Blvd. for 2.4 miles, following signs to Tryon Creek State Park. Park entrance will be on the right 0.75 mile beyond the round-about. 

Ask for Walk File Box at desk inside Nature Center.
