How can I become a Biomedical Writer?

The other pages of this website identify the Who, What, and Where of the career of biomedical science writing. If you haven't seen them yet, you can access them through the menu above. They will help you decide whether the following statements apply to you.

Does this sound like YOU?

*  I am interested in science and language. I am creative and curious. I am a self-starter, but I can function as part of a large team. I'd like to be involved in work that has the potential to help people or animals.

*  I think I'd like to write journal articles, design slides, document scientific trials of new drugs, or create advertisements.

*  I might like to work as a writer or an editor or a researcher at an ad agency, hospital, pharmaceutical company, or publishing company at a salary that should increase as I enlarge my education and certification.

If all or most of these statements apply to you, the best way to get to a career in this exciting and expanding field is through a degree from a respected university that extends undergraduate and graduate programs that combine science and writing.

For information about a university that offers such programs, click on "How Do I Get There From Here?" on the menu on the left.
