Letters for Wednesday - November 17, 2004

Getting it right, first

In a letter published in The Dallas Morning News on Aug. 13, 2000, a reader wrote in part: "If you missed the speech by Condoleezza Rice ... Poised, knowledgeable and articulate, she exuded confidence and charisma. Most of the pundits are touting her for national security adviser. She has secretary of state written all over her."

Oh, that was my letter! Remember, you read it first in The News. A little ahead of time, but prescient nevertheless.
