Not evidence
It is probable that Timothy McVeigh was solely or partly responsible for the Oklahoma City bombing. What bothers me about the trial, however, are the witnesses and graphics whose sole contribution was to show how horrific the act was. Not one of the survivors said they saw Tim McVeigh anywhere near the federal building. None of the photos or slides of the building and bloody victims make any tie between Mr. McVeigh and the bombing.
What all this extraneous "testimony" does is inflame the jury. It is not relevant to the issue: "Did Tim McVeigh participate in the bombing?"
What has happened to the concept of a fair trial based solely on the "evidence"?
