Designing Your Financial Vision

Course Description: Is there a gap between the meaning and role of money in your life and where you want to be? Is money a philosophy? How do the demands of money affect our understanding of our public and private lives? Is money just a system of exchange or can money be at our essence or designed to replace the myths of old? Does your relationship to money include feeling stuck, repeating old patterns, stress from working too hard, wondering if your spending too much or too little, or trouble finding time for yourself or family? Do you need a Money Makeover? By designing your financial vision, you may become clearer, obtain balance and achieve vitality around money and financial success.

Money Makeover for Couples

Discussion of marital or couple money dynamics. An examination of how couples interact and the effects on their relationships due to different upbringings, disparity of wealth and parental conflicts. An exploration of how the relationship handles independence versus interdependence, power struggles, psychological money traps, work scenarios, future inheritances, caring for elder parents and bringing up children in relation to money. Use of exercises, dialogues, a money autobiography and basic financial education to expand awareness and increase mutual decision making. Matching inner values to an understanding of goals, establishing priorities and creating a financial plan.

Money Makeover Before, During or After Divorce or Widowhood

Half of marriages end in divorce while the average age of widowhood is 56. A discussion of the way we rebuild our financial and emotional foundation. An examination of our upbringing and how it affects our choices, our psychological money skills and money traps, and processes that effect wealth accumulation and divorce settlements. A look into the hard and soft side of property settlement and marital assets. Use of exercises, a money autobiography and basic financial education to expand awareness and increase self-esteem. Matching inner values to an understanding of goals and creating a financial plan.

Course Title: Money Makeover for Women

Coming to consciousness, obtaining balance and achieving vitality around money and success for women. Discussion of one’s upbringing, social mores, psychological money skills and money traps, and processes that effect wealth accumulation for women. Use of exercises, a money autobiography and basic financial education to expand awareness and increase self-esteem. Matching inner values to an understanding of goals, establishing priorities and creating a financial plan.
