The toolpost set includes 2 turning holders, a boring bar holder, and a cut-off tool holder. Turning holders will accept tools up to 3/8in. square. The boring bar holder takes boring bars with a 3/8in. round shank. The cut-off holder uses 1/2in. blades.
Toolposts are available in four versions for:
a. Sherline lathe (standard and long bed).
b. Taig lathe.
c. Imported 7x10, 7x12, and 7x 14 lathes.
d. Atlas and Craftsman 6 inch lathes.
Constructed from high grade aluminum alloy, components of the toolpost and toolholders are hard anodized for excellent abrasion resistance. Just a few degrees of movement of the steel handle will lock or unlock the toolholders (no allen wrenches required).
This toolpost is specifically designed for these lathes and is SMALLER than the AXA (Series 100) size units that are used on larger machines. The body is 1.5" x 1.5" x 1.5" excluding the two dovetails.
