Rochambeau-A Long History of Champions
(Caution: Graphic intensive! Takes a while to load!)
Miniature Poodle Rochambeau has an outstanding record of Champion and
Top Producing dogs. Since the early 1960's, there have been over 50 Champions and we are still counting!

| Rochambeau Midnight Magic |
Whelped in October 1969, Ch. Rochambeau's Midnight Genie, and Ch. Rochambeau's
Midnight Playboy (whelped May 1970), were the first of a long line of Rochambeau Miniatures to gain attention in the show
ring. "Genie's" sire was Highland Bonhomme Richard, a black dog that Sharon would call the best miniature poodle she
had ever seen. Her dam was Rochambeau's Midnight Fancy.
"Playboy's" sire was Ch. Campbell's Razz-Ma-Tazz, a brown son of "Richard."
His dam was Rochambeau's Midnight Magic ("Maggie").
It is interesting to note that the dams are sisters. As is already stated, the
sires are father and son.

| Ch. Tibidabo Rochambeau Revival |

|
| Ch.Rochambeau Tibidabo Avenger |
After her successes with "Genie" and "Playboy," Sharon took some time off to raise
her family. Ch. Tibidabo Rochambeau Revival bred by Bill Marcy in 1977 marked her return to Poodles. He was a "Playboy" grandson.
Sharon did alot of breeding with Bill over the next few years. Ch. Rochambeau Tibidabo
Avenger (whelped 1980) figured highly in the pedigrees of many of her champion dogs including Ch. Rochambeau Shon-Tara
Houdini, Ch. Rochambeau-Terry Chester, Ch. Rochambeau Jolais Noir, Ch. Rochambeau Travilin' man, Ch. Rochambeau Talisman D'Llions,
Ch. Rochambeau The Ringleader.

| Ch Rochambeau Talisman D'Llions |
Ch. Rochambeau The Ringleader (whelped 1983) and Ch. Rochambeau Talisman D'Llions
(whelped 1984) were the most prolific of the "Avenger" get. "Ringleader" sired Ch. Rochambeau Airwolf, Ch. Rochambeau
Armed and Dangerous, Ch. Rochambeau Springsteen, and Ch. Rochambeau Wiseguy, among others. "Manny" (the Talisman boy), was
owned by our good friend Laura Wilson of Llion's Poodles. He produced 30 Champions in his lifetime.

|
| Ch. Rochambeau Major League |
Ch. Rochambeau Reflections (whelped 1986) and her son Ch. Rochambeau Major League
(whelped 1988) welcomed a new era in Rochambeau history - the addition of Gay-El J C Pennae. "JC" was bred
by Gail Rivers of Gay-El.

|
| Ch Rochambeau Dark O'December |
|
|
| Ch. Rochambeau Dark Cloud Rising |
Ch. Rochambeau Major League featured heavily in one of the most prolific and stylish bitch
lines as sire to Ch. Rochambeau Dark O' December. "Loretta" was whelped in 1990 and was dam to Ch. Rochambeau Dark Cloud
Rising. "Rita" who was whelped in 1995 produced Ch. Rochambeau Black Bottom Girl in 1999. "Beeper" can be seen in the secton
entitled "Our Girls."
Ch. Rochambeau Javalin had a very special place in all of our hearts. Sharon used
to call him the "little brown dog." I like to call him the "little brown dog that could." He sired 23 AKC champions to date.
Whelped in 1993, he was with us in NJ only a short time when he succumbed to prostate cancer late last year and figures highly
in the pedigrees of Ch. Rochambeau Black Bottom Girl, Ch. South Paws' No Cream No Sugar, Ch. Rochambeau She's Got Legs (all
in the "Our Girls" section) and Ch. Rochambeau Food for Thought (in the "Our Boys" section).
There have been many, many more Rochambeau Champions but time and space will not
allow me to list and picture them all. But, what I can do is say that Sharon left me some mighty big paws to fill ... and
it is my intention to do so.
