Maybe they will do some improving?? </div> <bR> <div> I guess everyone was asleep on the last auction as some of the Aeolian grand rolls did not sell and I did not have many bidders as I usually have had in previous auctions.   Also there was the Duo Art roll, Negro Heaven, that even I had never heard and since the drive flange was broken I did not play it and no one bid.  I put it on Ebay and it sold for over $20.00 as I guess, a few people knew what a fantastic roll it was.  Since it went so high, I replaced the flanges and tube and then played it and I can only say “What a fantastic Jazzy Bluesy number” I want a copy myself when another one turns up.  The winner was quite delighted to win the roll, and pleased that I also took the time to repair the roll, before shipping it. </div> <bR> <div> <B>KLEZMEROLA</B>     “Lost Yiddish Gershwin Player piano roll discovered!” Bob Berkman, a longtime collector of all kinds of ethnic player piano rolls has recorded a CD of rare ethnic Jewish player piano rolls and it is for sale.  “It makes available for the first time Jewish recordings from old piano rolls.  Included is the only known Jewish roll by George Gershwin, recorded in 1916 and long thought lost.” Get a copy of the CD!  It is a fantastic CD of some great music that you will enjoy, regardless of your ethnicity.  Some very nice snappy tunes! Bob also acknowledges many people throughout the years that have helped him acquire some of these fantastic piano roll performances.  Get a few copies today!  They make nice gifts for friends who don't have a player piano, but would like recordings of player piano music. </div> <bR> <div> <B>What's in the auction</B>? </div> <div>      This Auction may still be a little short on old rolls, as my roll inspection table has not been fixed as of the start of the auction.  I don't know if I can find or have a new gear made</div> <div> <B>88 note rolls.  </B>We have been sent some more fantastic consignments from all over the country this time. There is an interesting collection of 88 note rolls from Harvard, Massachusetts, with some fantastic rare rolls from the 1920's through the 1940's and thru the 1980's.  I have never seen some of these rare gems.   </div> <div>      </div> <div>       I still have a number of brand new unopened and unused QRS rolls from a store that somehow had missed them in the tax inventory time and asked me to find new homes for them.  These missed the inventory, as they are titles that are no longer in the current QRS catalog.  So, if you wanted a copy of a particular tune, this is the time to buy it. Did I mention that they are bargain priced as well???  </div> <bR> <div> <B>AMPICO ROLLS: </B>We have been sent a fantastic collection of over 500 AMPICO rolls from an estate in California to auction off.  I would love to tell you of the estate, but the consignor has requested that the collection remain anonymous. That is understandable.  Anyway they want the collection to move fast and I am going to sell part by my auction, part by Ebay and sell part as box lots.  I will auction off the choice titles by both auction methods and the top hat single tunes you can buy by the box of 25. The box lots will not be inspected and may contain a few rolls that may have some frayed edges. You may be getting some fantastic rolls. The box lots will be at the rate of $6.00 per roll and if you want to come and pick your own box, they will be at the rate of $8.00 each per box. So far the collection of rolls look to be in very good condition. I have only seen one roll that had frayed edges and they were minor. To find the rolls on ebay, go to ampico or by my ebay name of  “rollertunes” and you can see what is being offered.  Look often. </div> <bR> <div> <B>Duo Arts</B>:  More of the rare and fantastic Joseph Tushinsky collection. Some nice Accompaniment rolls, too!</div> <bR> <div> <B>Nickelodeon rolls:</B>  I think we may have a few A rolls this time?</div> <bR> <div> <B>65 Note rolls:</B> An interesting collection of 65 note rolls from a collector in Maryland this time. </div> <bR> <div> <B>Rubber Banda: Please note that I ran out of paper seals and due to time constreights, I did not have time to print more of them, and a few of the rolls may have a rubber band.  The purpose of the rubber band is the same as the paper seal that I normally use, which is to keep the roll from unwinding during shipment only and you should immediately throw the rubber band away when first playing the roll.</B><I><B>  </B></I><B>Do not put the rubber band back on the roll after playing. They are to be thrown in the trash. Except for shipping, rubber bands do not serve any purpose in being put back on a roll. Thanks.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>REPAIR Parts and services: </B> We now have small Flanges, boxes, tubes in stock again. We have some brown small roll boxes, probably for duo arts at  $2.00 each. Pack of 10 pair of flanges for $4.00. We still offer ungummed replica box labels for 50 cents a pair.  On repairing rolls, we will furnish a new end tab and leader paper for $1.00 where the end tab and leader need replacing.  We will fix the leader and end tab for $3.00 on the roll if you don't want to do it yourself.<B>             </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Don't forget to order some repair tape.</B>  The supplier of the mending tape has raised its price. It is now priced at $15.00 per roll. Or order two rolls for $28.00. To reduce my inventory, I am offering the same deal I offered at the AMICA convention in Chicago and that is 10 rolls for $120.00.
