I love writing speculative fiction, exploring fantasy and science fiction worlds, and nonfiction that makes a difference in people's lives.

I've been a Clinical Psychologist for twenty-four years, the past six years working for a school district evaluating students for special education and facilitating social skills groups for middle school students.

I was born in 1952 in San Diego, California. I attended the University of California at Santa Barbara where I earned by bachelor's degree in psychology, graduating with honors. I went on to earn my masters and Ph.D. at the California School for Professional Psychology, completing a doctoral dissertation on the experience of the persistent and chronically mentally ill living independently in the community. I was licensed as a psychologist in California in 1981.

What a job!

I hope that Be a Hero To the Woman You Love, When She Gets Sick will find its way to those men that would benefit from reading it.
