Association Purpose
The purpose of this association is to organize the coaches of women's sports in South Carolina for the betterment of
women's athletics with the following objectives:
- to promote, maintain, and improve the coaching profession through the presentation of the best methods, techniques, and
any other phases that would benefit coaches individually and collectively;
- to continue to maintain the highest standards of sportsmanship and ethics among players, coaches, and throughout the community;
- to cooperate with the South Carolina Hig School League in the promotion of a broad and wholesome athletic program for
women.
SCCAWS honors 338 female athletes each year through All-Star, All-State, Player of the Year awards and scholarships.
Eighteen adults are also honored each year as either coaches or MVP Honorees in recognition for their contributions to women's
sports.
Our mission is to further promote female athletes in South Carolina.
