Hewlett-Packard
Intranet Business Customers
Web Service customers at Hewlett-Packard follow. Variously called Web
Engineer, Developer, Designer, I did consulting, deep support and troubleshooting for customers from around the
world in a large, complex corporate
environment. Work included web site design
and layout, creation, development and implementation of internal business sites. Consulted with
customers, applied templates for
portal look and feel, managed maintenance and content. Performed site cleanup and obsolescence, migrated
sites to new intranet portal. Coached
customers with JavaScript navigation issues. Ongoing use of
PhotoShop.
Provided web consulting, portal integration,
small web site implementations, assisted customers setting up NT global
groups, sub webs, and secure web sites. Often acted as Support and
Content Publishing Manager.
Henry
Coe State Park Calendar
Design and
layout, prototyping, coordination and production were crucial
segments of publishing a 2003 12-month flip calendar; photography and photo
text provided by another volunteer. Result: a beautiful print tribute to Henry Coe
State Park. Volunteer Project began with
a concept, was implemented and culminated successfully with over two
hundred copies pre-sold before press time. With sales hats on,
our calendar became available in retail locations around the Bay Area (REI, Tower
Records, Orvis, Western Mountaineering), a Morgan Hill Gallery, as well as
Coe Park Visitor Center. Cover photo shown with
permission of photographer, Marlene Testaguzza. Photograph copyright © 2002.
