Wil Cohen: The Photographer
by E.L. Lang
When you view the images of one, Wil Cohen, you get a sense of the photographer’s passion in life: his photography.
A multifaceted individual, Wil also writes music, records songs for sardonic pleasure, and plays a mean bass, as well as drums
and guitar upon request. His ultimate plan is to someday incorporate his love for photography in with his music in a not-so-esoteric
sort of way. When Wil isn’t shootin’ naked babes, he finds some comfort from his main squeeze and his pooch,
Astro, whom is meaner than a junkyard dog on Xanax. Wil has shot throughout the world, with favorite locations being Los
Angeles, Las Vegas, London, France, the Bahamas, and Tahiti. A firm believer that one needs to be selfish to accomplish goals
in one’s quest, Wil differentiates himself from the crowd in changing his style at mid-stream to get the photo he deems
‘perfect.’ One tends to get the impression that fetish photography found Wil Cohen walking down the street one
day and decided to grab him in the ass and proceed to violate him with its erotic allure and sheer unadulterated ecstasy that
encompasses the craft. A graduate from the school of hard knocks and feisty nipples, Wil marches on in his career, never
looking back, never showing up on time to silly interviews, and proceeding forth, with spontaneity, shooting naked women like
he was a silent film director, smoking a Cuban cigar and having a grin on his face that would make you laugh. In the end,
look for this young photographer to break the barriers of photography and to make a major impact in the world by being…
himself.
