I must admit that my career started in an almost dream like fashion.

It all began while spending countless hours shooting endless rolls of black and white film in high school and college. I was experimenting with just about every creative technique I could imagine when I received a phone call that would change everything.  At age 21, I was offered work in Hawaii onboard two cruise ships on which I had the very fortunate opportunity to work and learn from two great mentors.  These two gentlemen truly opened the photographic world to me. Within a very short matter of time I gained the ability to shoot and print with professional skills including candid, formal, portrait and group photography.  Unfortunately, I was only able to work in Hawaii for eight mouths but I continued developing my talents onboard seven other cruise ships throughout 50 other countries in Europe, the Caribbean, and Central & South America for the next three years.

After spending an enormous amount of time traveling and photographing the world I decided to return home and work as an event photographer and image manager at a local photography company. I was responsible for shooting various corporate and college events including college graduations throughout North and South Carolina.

Currently I’m working as an independent photographer. I am available to photograph various types of events and aspects.

I demand the highest quality photographs thus I continue to shoot with professional 35mm film. In the past I have shot and processed digital images but still prefer film over “pixels.”  I still maintain the flexibility to produce and print digital images from my negatives.
