Why Pilates? Core strength is the basis for all body strength. Our most primal animal instinct to survive-the "fight or flight" response is there too--the Greeks called it the "solar plexus". In martial arts, the "chi" or "qui" center is the 3rd chakra--it's about 1 inch below your navel. It's also a great point to focus on in meditation. Pilates is the best exercise for improving core strength; muscle toning, stretching, improving postural alignment, correcting musculo-skeletal compensation, reducing "guarding" (or body-part "paranoia") and inducing deconstruction of body parts in movement so that THE WHOLE BODY can function more efficiently.

If you book with me--please note; your personal hygiene is GREATLY appreciated! ;).

About Me

I'm a graduate of The Swedish Institute in N.Y., N.Y. and I practice Swedish, Sports and/or Nurturing-Relaxing massage and have been doing it in and around N.Y.C., the East Coast and Europe for going on 18 years. I'm an expert in deep tissue ('friction"), stretch and core-based (Pilates) workouts. I'm also a hard-core biker!

I love my work. I love helping people and inspiring them.

I see massage as a way of loving other people with my hands and as a way of expressing compassion not just "thinking-you-are-being-compassionate" because you went to Yoga class today. I'm honored and proud to do massage and teach Pilates for a living. Maintaining a strong sense of humor about life keeps me happy! And I love sharing the healing power and joy of touch with others.
