WELCOME TO SUN/MOON YOGA
Yoga practice balances the Sun and Moon energy channels within - so that we can experience
our own inner light.
This is not a style of yoga - there are many practices from which to choose - each according
to your own temperament. This is a context for yoga practice in which we listen to the wisdom of the body and follow the impulse
of energy flow (prana). If anything, this Sun/Moon yoga is reflected by Patanjali in chapter 2 of the Yoga Sutras: "a burning
desire for self-realization, self-study, and surrender constitute the yoga of action". That is, we invest ourselves fully
into practice, reflect on the changes that result, and offer up our lives as a prayer. We also move from structured practice
toward more intuitive practice during class, and over the course of a lifetime. It
can lead to a wonderful combination of inner strength and surrender, and a rich opportunity for personal insight.
Yoga harmonizes body, mind and spirit. It transforms us. Anyone can experience this.
