China -- January 2007

We flew to Xiamen, China in January 2007 to see the almost-completed Adagio. This is part of the standard contract with Outbound Yachts. We spent five days in Xiamen, devoting much of the time to a careful inspection of the boat. But we did spend a day and a half touring the city. On this page we've posted photos of Adagio in the Chinese boatyard as well as the highlights of our tour. Oh -- we are often asked why we bought a Chinese boat. We didn't. Outbounds are built in China -- in the same boatyard as Passports -- but Outbound Yachts is an American business and all materials are sourced out of the United States.
