RULES: These rules shall apply to all members of Rick's Ultimate Bass Fishing Tournaments. It is each member’s responsibility to thoroughly read & understand the following rules. Tournament director is not responsible for any misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the following rules. Violation of any of these rules will result in immediate disqualification from the current event & at tournament directors’ discretion. Any team disqualified from the current event will forfeit their entry fee for that event.
REGISTRATION: Entry fee is $15 per team or $7.50 per person. Personal checks or Cashier Checks will be accepted for mail in entries. CASH ONLY will be accepted at ramp registration. All teams must check in at registration/weigh-in site prior to fishing. $2.50 per angler entry will go toward the food and drinks provided after the event. This portion is non-refundable if the contestant doesn’t show up. Big bass will get 60% of the pot, and 2nd Big Bass will receive 40 % of the pot. If fishing solo the angler can still weigh in two fish (same as team).
TOURNAMENT TIMES: Starting time for each event will be determined by the tournament director. All boats will take off in numbered order, going by when the registration was received. example: First entry sent in is first out. Last entry is last out.
All State & Federal penal code laws shall apply at all times.
Contestants must have a valid fishing license for tournament lake on their person during tournament hours
Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or an adult.
Sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation are expected from every participant.
Insurance – I understand and acknowledge that boating and fishing is a dangerous sport. I have sufficient health, accident and liability insurance to cover any bodily or property injury claim arising from my participation in this event.
Liability – I hereby release, discharge, and agree to hold harmless the Rick’s Ultimate Bass Fishing directors, sponsors or hosts of any and all liability, claims demands, actions or rights of action which are related to or any way connected to my participation in this event.
LATE PENALTY: Any team that has not checked in by the designated time will have ½ lb. per minute deducted from their total weight. Any team more than 15 minutes late will not be allowed to weigh in.
Trailering will be allowed after the tournament.
LAWS: All STATE, FEDERAL and LOCAL laws must be strictly obeyed by all members at all times during tournament hours.
FISH LENGTHS & LIMITS: Bass must measure at least 14 inches in length. Limit of two bass per team. Fishing solo you can also weigh in two bass, and be eligible for 1st and 2nd place money. Biggest bass will get 1st place, and 2nd biggest bass will receive 2nd place. There will be payouts for only two places with possible door prizes for others.
TIES: In the event of a tie, prize money will be evenly divided between the winning teams. Tie for 1st will result in 1st and 2nd place money being divided between the two teams. Tie for 2nd will result in just the 2nd place money being divided between the tied teams.
PERMITTED FISHING METHODS: Only artificial lures may be used. For (2) angler teams; (1) rod and reel per member may be used at a time. No trolling with the combustion engine will be allowed. All fish must be caught in a legal and sporting. Your team may only weigh-in fish caught by your team. Switching or sharing fish with other teams will result in immediate disqualification from the current event.
PROTESTS: All protests must be presented in writing to tournament director within 15 minutes after the closing of scales. Tournament director’s decisions will be final in all matters.
