         The Social Action committee of Temple Beth Shalom is charged with providing outreach to the community including:

         1.   Interfaith interaction through such programs as Martin Luther King Day and arranging interchanges with Christian Congregations

         2.   Showing our concern for the less fortunate by programs such as working at the West Side Food Bank and collecting food and clothing for distribution to the needy.

        3.   Monitoring inappropriate community attitudes and actions and then mustering support and taking stands to address these problems based on the ethical and moral values of Judaism.
