My sister was doing some volunteer work at a local park when she noticed a stray cat hanging around. Concerned that this female cat may be contributing to the over-population problem, she decided to catch her  and have her spayed. She returned several times looking for the cat and at last was successful. She took the kitty to the vet. Later that afternoon she received a call from the vet. He had cut the kitty open to remove her uterous. But guess what?The cat has already been spayed. Apparently she was someone's pet that just hung out in the park. So if you have a free roaming spayed  cat,  please put a collar on her. That way my sister will know to leave that one be.

Photograph number 4 is my beautiful cat Victoria.This picture was taken in the evening as the sun was setting.The old wicker chair contrasted nicely with her fur.I sat on the ground so that I could shoot this picture at eye level.

I heard on the news this morning,that a pet cat has been cloned.For 50,000 dollars a lady had her 17 year old tabby cloned.She said "the cats are identical,and even have the same personality.I wonder if the cats like each other!

When I moved in with my soon -to -be husband he was not fond of cats at all!Than he met Rainbow(daughter of River) She touched his heart in a very special way. And has taught him so many important lessons about life.Most importantly about unconditional love. And now my once cat hating husband is a cat lover. And Rainbow thinks he's the catz meow.

It's been four years since I lost my darling River. And still every time I think of him. (I see his big gold eyes and I hear his sweet welcoming meow) tears come to my eyes. And  even now my tears are falling. River I miss you.I will never forget you. I only that when my time comes I will see you on the other side.

In photo #3 I used red felt for the background.About 2 feet is sufficient.Felt makes a wonderful background-but it's prone to picking up lint.Make sure you remove all the lint.(or it will ruin your photograph.)

I used a kitten shaker toy to get this kittens attention .It still took a few try's to get a good shot.Photographing kittens and cats can be so much fun!

This is Rambo. One of my 6 cats. He loves modeling for pictures. It is best to use a tripod when photographing cats for this type of photo.That way you can observe the cat through the lens.And if your lucky capture a great pose.
