UPDATE:  August 30, 2009:  Pups made their trip to the vet for puppy shots and have been de-wormed.  Our vet was impressed with how big the puppies were at 6 weeks and how healthy they all are. 

They all are now wearing collars and  have adjusted very well.  Pups continue to grow like weeds.  Today's weigh in results:

August 26, 2009:  Pups are now 6 weeks old.  They are growing like weeds.  Weights are as follows (lbs/ozs):

All the pups have gained between 2 and 3 lbs in a week.  Don't let the smaller pups fool you...they are scrappers.

Blitz, the smallest male has found a way to drag the Swiffer mop across the floor (shown in video at right).  Bree, the smallest female, dragged the big dogs' ceramic water dish (by pulling the matt it sits on) half way across the kitchen.  Just for yucks, I weighed it.  It weighed more than she did!  Buck finished the job by pulling it all the way into the living room.

The pups spend the evenings upstairs running around the living room and kitchen.  Paper towels and the mop are never far out of reach!

We had a beautiful day, in between rain, so the pups spent some time running around outside in the backyard.  Tess was excited to see our neighbor's dog Oscar (they love to run back and forth along the fence line).  Pups were very curious about Oscar.  I think Oscar was overwhelmed.
