The pups turned 5 weeks old on April 12.  They are now eating softened puppy food three times a day.  Weights are as follows (lbs/ozs):

The weather has been nice here this week so the pups got their first trip outside on Sunday April 9.  They are using their noses to sniff their way around and explore.  Each trip outside they become bolder venturing further away from the "pack" and investigating new objects.

The pups had a real treat tonight.  They got their first whiff of a pheasant (Dick met one of our soon to be new owners at a game preserve and had shot a couple of birds over Gus). The pups showed considerable interest, wagging their tails and following the bird with their noses.  Several even got a feather or two.
