Abstract Art in quilted textiles.

Although I have been working with fiber for many years, in 2000 I began constructing my own abstract quilts. I
dye and paint my own fabrics as well as using found cloth. Currently I am exploring quilted form.
In my current work I began by considering linear elements and quilted form.
I have always had an interest in how lines in natural forms like wood grain and fungus relate to their form and
to each individual line. Using thread as a drawing line I combined these interests in a way that expands
the definition of a quilt.
