Monticellite Included Crystal

I got this crystal in a lot when I purchased an estate in Tiburon, Ca. I had never seen anything like this before or since. I have no history just questions. Mystery crystal indeed. First it has been polished and the sides are smooth as glass. It has a smoky color and several layers of Monticellite that have become visible due the polish

See the Manifistation Crystal in the center? Part of it has been lost to the polisher but enough remail inside the main crytal to be considered a Manifistation Crystal in my humble opinion.

As you can see it is a "Tabby" crystal, two sides are twice the width of the other two. You can also see the several layers of Mont. inclusion that took millions of years to layer themselved between the quartz and themselves.

The back shows more of the layering.

Close up views

JapanLaw Manifistation crystals

I tried to capture the 3 dimentional view of the other smaller complete crystal underneath and at the 10:00 poisition. If you look beyond the glare on it you can see the depth of the tip and one side.

This type crystal growth that is pointing in opposing directions is called a JapaneseLaw. I don't know why?

Bottom view

This is a very interesting view. I included it to illustrate the quartz covering and Tabby shape. Also, you can just see the edge of the interior crystals, you can see the shiny side between the foil on the left and the small foil on the right. It is in the center resting on a layer of Monticellite. Yes, looks like a tiny crystal coming down at the 8:00 position.

This is a wonderful crystal. I am so happy to have it in my collection. If you have some special treasures please contact me and I can give you some pages for free to show off yours.
