C. B. & Q. RR Drawing No. 40256

This package contains the entire contents of a blueprint copy of C. B. & Q. R. R. drawing 40256 titled "Elevation and Cross Sections". This is a drawing of the O1A Engine Nos 5100-5115. The data block in the lower right corner of the drawing is badly faded. No date is readable and the drawing is probably Issue B.

The blueprint copy was in the collection of Leonard Miekiszak and was donated to the Burlington Route Historical Society.

The drawing was scanned at 300 dpi into 14 TIF files which are (3510 x 2400) pels or (11.7" x 8"). This drawing is more detailed than the drawing shown in Corbin and Kerka's "Steam Locomotives of the Burlington Route" on p 228. 40256 shows the Burlington's upgrades to the locomotive after delivery from Baldwin including power reverse and cross-compound air pump.
