CAMEROUN P-9 (formerly P-2A)

There are three varieties of this note. This one, which is the rarest of all Cameroun notes, carries the denomination in English as well as in French and the reverse caption is "Republique du Cameroun." The P-8 was issued prior to adoption of bilingualism (which resulted from the absorption of part of British Cameroun), and the P-13 carries the new name of "Republique Federale du Cameroun." See below for reverse.

The reverse of this note is the most elaborate of any banknote I know - too much so for my own taste - but an incredible collage of tropical fruits, flowers, and motifs.
