This 1947 issue exemplifies the Bank of France's artistic approach to banknote design. I consider it, along with the French Eq. Africa P-26 and French West Africa P-43, to be the most outstanding examples of the classic designs of 1930-55. It is very difficult in UNC but high grades (VF-XF) can occasionally be found.
