William Dannemeyer Don't expect Bill to get invited to a Gay Pride Parade any time soon -- and it's not just because he's not cute enough. This seven-term California Congressman, who served until 1992, was among the first to make the "AIDS is God's judgment" argument. He declared that AIDS is spread by airborne spores and that all patients should be quarantined. He even wrote an anti-gay book which said "we must either defeat militant homosexuality or it will defeat us." Okay, Bill, I've got my whips and chains ready. Let's whup some ass! After leaving office, Bill went off on a rant about impeaching the six Supreme Court Justices who ruled Colorado's 1992 anti-gay Amendment Two unconstitutional. That's the silly referendum that barred all Colorado cities and counties from adding sexual orientation to their anti-discrimination ordinances. So, Bill -- you thinking about getting show tunes outlawed? It's just a thought. |
